one- We got Jilly a new booster carseat this week which meant Mattie got to upgrade from the infant seat into Jilly's old seat (finally!) Both girls love their new seats, and my life has become a thousand percent easier because Jilly is always so excited to sit in her seat that she runs to get in the car. (Please let this never wear off!)
(don't worry, I adjusted Mattie's straps right after the picture!)
two- After a month without one, we finally bought a kitchen table this past weekend. It really feels like home now that we can sit and have a meal together. Also, I upgraded Mattie to the booster and she's a big fan (she's had lots of upgrades lately!)
three- Bryan is a wonderful person. As he puts it, "I'm an engineer by day and an Ikea Furniture Assemblyman by night." He's been extra busy following the demands of his after-hours boss (me) in setting up our home. One night he went up to say goodnight to Jilly and "tickle her arm" (her most frequent bedtime request) and an hour later this is what I found:
four- For Family Night on Monday we made ice cream- the old-fashioned shake it around in a bag of ice kind. It was fun, and with some oreo topping, delicious. Bryan deserves all credit for the idea and execution on this one: dad of the year for sure.
five- And, lastly, another little sneak peek at a finished corner in our house. This is the most well-used spot in the entire house and we luuuuuuve it.
Happy Weekend!

Mattie looks so grown up in her big girl carseat! And Rog could sympathize with Bryan - he's been an IKEA furniture assemblyman on many occasions at our house!
Love that little spot for the dress-up!! That is adorable! And seriously, Jilly looks so grown up in the picture of her new car seat. It looks like she should be one of the Anderson sisters. Yay for having a table! I love the chairs. And assembling IKEA furniture is a real job. My friend just bought a table. Started assembling at 11pm. Finished at 2:30am. Love the updates!! Makes you seem not so far. :)
